Before The Treatment

Before beginning the treatment, our licensed physician will conduct to confirm whether you are a good candidate.

When you have been given the green light for the procedure, there is not a lot of preparation that you need to do. If you are hoping to have this done before a major event, you will need to do it well ahead of time.

Prior to your appointment, make sure that your face is well-washed and avoid taking ibuprofen or acetaminophen to help prevent bruising.

During The Treatment

After you have been fully consulted, we will take a series of photos to monitor the progress of the treatment and results.

A topical numbing cream is applied to promote your comfort during the treatment. The soft tissue filler also includes an anesthetic, which helps to further desensitize the treatment area. Dr.Bibby aims to create the most attractive results with the fewest injections possible and uses a very gentle technique.

The treatment is non-invasive and your results are immediate.

After The Treatment

Post-care guidelines for a dermal filler treatment is minimal. You can resume regular activities immediately after. However, we recommend waiting three days before performing rigorous exercise, such as running or lifting heavy weights. Following a dermal filler treatment, you may notice swelling and bruising in the treatment area.

Makeup can be used to hide bruising.

Are dermal fillers painful?

Is one treatment enough?

Each of our dermal fillers and injectables can provide significant improvement in a single visit. Patients who want a more pronounced effect can have a touch-up treatment during a follow-up appointment with Dr. Bibby.

Should I avoid anything prior to the treatment?

Typically, we recommend avoiding medications and foods that have an anti-inflammatory effect for one week. These include aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, ginger, garlic, ginseng, and gingko biloba.

When will I notice the results?

Results are noticeable immediately after the treatment since they immediately increase fullness in the desired area. Most people will see their final results within 7-10 days of their appointment.
