Are there any restrictions for who can be treated with The Perfect Derma Peel?

Unable to treat patients who are pregnant, nursing and have been on Accutane within the last 12 months. Unable to treat patients with an allergy to any of the above-listed ingredients, or to aspirin. Unable to treat patients who have open wounds, sunburn, infected skin, coldsores or lesions. Patients with a history of cold sores (herpes implex) may be given an anti-viral 3 days prior to the peel. Unable to treat patients who have had recent treatments such as waxing, electrolysis or chemical exfoliants. Unable to treat patients who are undergoing chemotherapy/and or radiation therapy. Unable to treat patients with a history of autoimmune disease or any condition that may weaken the immune system.

Can I wear makeup post peel?

The day the peel is applied patients are instructed to not put any makeup or any other products on their face for the remainder of the day. Day 2 you are allowed to wear makeup.

How far apart do I have to wait to have my next derma peel treatment?

It can be applied every four weeks if necessary. We recommend once every 3-6 months to maintain your improved results.

How is the Perfect Derma Peel different from other chemical peels?

The Perfect Derma Peel is the only chemical peel that incorporates Glutathione a master antioxidant. Produced naturally by the body but diminishes as we age it fights free radical damage, enhances cellular health and inhibits the production of melanin for clearer and brighter skin.

How long will the results from a derma peel last?

As long as the skin is maintained with proper skin care products like The Perfect A, The Perfect C, and The Perfect Bleaching Cream the improved results will last. We recommend 2 – 4 treatments of The Perfect Derma Peel per year to sustain desired results for regular maintenance and rejuvenation.

How many derma peel treatments are necessary for visible improvement?

After one treatment of The Perfect Derma Peel, overall skin tone and complexion will appear smooth, glowing and fresh. Depending on skin conditions, multiple treatments may be necessary for desired results. A series of 2-3 treatments applied once every 4 weeks will allow for optimal results for more severe skin conditions such as Melasma and active acne.

Is a derma peel painful?

You may feel a slight sting that lasts a few seconds.

What can I use on my skin during the peeling process?

A very gentle cleanser, the Perfect Derma Moisturizer and SPF that is included in the patient home care kit is all we recommend using on the skin during the peeling process. Recommended to avoid using retinoids or glycolic products for 10 days post peel.

What is the downtime after a derma peel?

The peeling process can last up to 7 days!

What will the Perfect Derma Peel help improve?

This peel was designed and formulated to help improve various skin concerns, including acne. Glutathione is an ingredient that helps to increase cell turnover reducing the appearance of scars. A series of 3-4 peels is recommended when trying to treat acne and scarring for optimal results.

When does the peeling start and end?

Day 3 following application is when peeling will generally start. Peeling generally ends by day 7.

Which skin types respond well to The Perfect Derma Peel?

All skin types (Fitzpatrick 1-6) and all ethnicities are safe to treat and will benefit from The Perfect Derma Peel.

Will my skin be sensitive post peel?

Skin will be more sensitive than usual during the entire peeling process until normal skin PH level is replenished.
