Dermaplaning is a physical/mechanical form of exfoliation using a specialized dermaplaning blade for the removal of built up dead skin cells and vellus hair. Using a sterile scalpel, your trained professional will lightly scrape along the skins surface to remove vellus hair (peach fuzz), dirt, dead skin and impurities from the outermost layers of your skin. This will stimulate the cell renewal process & cell metabolism, which helps new skin come to the surface. The cell regeneration process improves the appearance of acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation.
Once we remove the dead skin cells, it becomes easier to extract. We will then use Bio-Therapeutic’s award-winning bt-micro device to perform extractions, removing whiteheads & blackheads. Bt-micro uses ultrasonic waves to gently push out any pore buildup without the risk of scarring caused by older methods.
Following treatment, skin will be smoother, softer and better able to absorb the active ingredients in treatment and home care products. The results are instant, glowy, dewy skin!
This treatment is for anyone who wants a quick glow! Dermaplaning removes excess fine hairs which are known for trapping the dirt, oil and dead skin cells in your pores that are the main cause of acne and blemishes.
Before coming to the appointment make sure that you are not taking any medications that cause photosensitivity and stop using Retinol products for 1 week prior to the treatment.
