After one treatment of The Perfect Derma Peel, overall skin tone and complexion will appear smooth, glowing and fresh. Depending on skin conditions, multiple treatments may be necessary for desired results. A series of 2-3 treatments applied once every 4 weeks will allow for optimal results for more severe skin conditions such as Melasma and active acne.
All skin types (Fitzpatrick 1-6) and all ethnicities are safe to treat and will benefit from The Perfect Derma Peel.
Day 3 following application is when peeling will generally start. Peeling generally ends by day 7.
The day the peel is applied patients are instructed to not put any makeup or any other products on their face for the remainder of the day. Day 2 you are allowed to wear makeup.
Skin will be more sensitive than usual during the entire peeling process until normal skin PH level is replenished.
A very gentle cleanser, the Perfect Derma Moisturizer and SPF that is included in the patient home care kit is all we recommend using on the skin during the peeling process. Recommended to avoid using retinoids or glycolic products for 10 days post peel.
